Our class is growing caterpillars into butterflies. This week we moved the chrysalids into the butterfly garden. They will be in their chrysalids for about 7-10 days. While we wait for them to turn into butterflies, we made a bookmark of the process a caterpillar goes through to become a butterfly and we made a cute butterfly craft for our lockers.
Reminder: Tomorrow, Wednesday May 1, 2024 is an Early Release day. Elementary dismissed at 11:00 am and Secondary dismissed at 11:15 am
On Friday, Mrs. McDowell's WIN groups completed a WHODUNNIT game as a review for their upcoming Math M-step test. During this game, partners worked together to solve problems involving order of operations. Then depending on their answer, they would get a clue as to who didn’t do the crime, where it didn’t take place, and how it didn’t happen. These clues eliminated choices so they could finally solve “WHODUNNIT.”

Smiles and excited squeals are part of our emotions in Kindergarten today. Our new friends are entering their next phase of life. They are becoming chrysalises! Kindergartners witnessing science through their eyes is the best way to learn! It is also quite amazing to witness their joy as a grown up too! What a great day to be a Kindergartner!
