Parent/Teacher Conferences for middle school students will be held next Tuesday, March 25th from 5:00-8:30 pm. There's still time to schedule an appointment by visiting the following link: https://ptcfast.com/schools/Ovid_Elsie_MS_Conferences . At this time, the 2 teacher request has been removed. Conference times are open for parents to schedule as many meetings as they would like. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact OEMS staff at any time. Thank you, and we look forward to meeting with you!
The Ovid-Elsie Robotics team (MarauderBots) competed this past weekend in Jackson. They were selected by the second alliance and finished the competition as runners up.

Congratulations to Ovid-Elsie High School’s Student of the Week, junior Robert! Nominated by Ms. Harrington, “Robert is an incredibly kind, thoughtful, intelligent, and hard-working student. Robert comes to class and works hard every single day, often going above and beyond what is asked of him. He genuinely wants to learn, works well with his classmates, and is such an awesome history student. I can't wait to see what he continues to accomplish this year!” Robert was a part of the district and regional winning football team his sophomore year, runs track, and has been an FFA member since 8th grade. In his free time, he enjoys working out, swimming, hanging out with friends, and playing games with family. After high school, he plans to attend college to study finance and hopefully play college football.

Students in Mrs. Miller’s sixth grade science are working on predator/prey, relationships, and the factors that limit populations. Today they created a simulation using rabbits and coyotes to show the cycle of population growth. In addition to doing the stimulation, students recorded data on tables and will generate line graphs.

Good luck to our Track & Field team today. Go Marauders!

Ovid-Elsie High School is looking for professionals from local businesses to volunteer during our Senior Interview Day on April 10th from approximately 8:00am-11:00am. We are hoping to have a wide variety of careers represented including trades, industrial, clerical, and executive positions, so all options for post-secondary plans are available for students to explore.
Volunteers would be asked to conduct 30 minute mock-interviews with OEHS seniors and would be provided with sample questions and feedback forms. Seniors will bring a copy of their resume with them and will be prepared to answer questions and then accept feedback on their performance during the interview.
If you are interested in helping out and mentoring our seniors during this event, please email our School Counselor, Autumn Winsor, at autumn.winsor@ovidelsie.org for more details

Congratulations to Ovid-Elsie High School’s Student of the Week, senior Trey! Nominated by Ms. Hoffman, “Trey has a positive attitude that is infectious to those he works around. He is always willing to try anything and puts a great effort into it. He will help wherever needed without being prompted. Trey is the kid who will talk to anyone and be a friend to whoever may need it. He is actively involved in sports and has a load of school spirit.” Trey has participated in football and wrestling for four years, lacrosse for three, and track & field for one. He’s a member of the Elsie Fire Department and a part of the National Art Society and FFA. He was crowned Homecoming king by his peers this past fall and earned his 100th win in wrestling last season. Trey was captain of the team and won the MVP award in wrestling. He currently holds the school record for most lacrosse saves with 28. After graduation, Trey plans to attend lineman school.
