Kiddos in Mrs. Murray’s Kindergarten recently celebrated their accomplishments as authors and illustrators by hosting an Author’s Showcase! Students worked hard to write two to three reasons why they loved Kindergarten and created beautiful illustrations to match their writing. They also got to enjoy light refreshments while they shared their writing with their families. We are so proud of their creativity, hard work, and growing confidence as writers. Way to go, Kindergartners!!

Mrs. Jones’ kindergarten class worked hard creating their very own class book all about kindness! The students proudly titled their book, “Kindness is Cool in Kindergarten.” Throughout this project, the students learned and practiced each step of the writing process. They began by brainstorming ideas about what kindness means and how they can show kindness to others. Next, they planned their writing, created drafts, revised their work, and finally completed their final drafts. To make their pages even more special, each student illustrated a picture to match their writing. We are so proud of the creativity and effort the students showed while becoming young authors!

Congratulations to Ovid-Elsie High School’s Student of the Week, junior Aubrey!

Aubrey was nominated by Mrs. Harrington, who shared: “Aubrey is an amazing student and person! She works hard every day in US History class, and is often helping her classmates as well. She is a student I can rely on to be helpful in the classroom and she always makes a point to include everyone. She is an excellent example of what it means to be a Marauder!”
Aubrey has been actively involved in drama and musical theater, sideline cheer, CFA cheer, and lacrosse throughout high school. She served as the junior captain for sideline cheer and has taken on several standout performing roles. Aubrey played the lead role of Deloris in the school musical, Sister Act, and was also one of the female leads, portraying Ms. Scarlet in the play CLUE.

After graduation, Aubrey plans to pursue a career as a child therapist or school counselor. She has a passion for helping and working with children and hopes to make a positive impact in their lives. This recognition is a testament to your Marauder character, demonstrating what it means to be Respectful, Responsible, and always striving to Be Your Best!
