Mr. Dahlke’s Anatomy and Sports Medicine class has started the American Red Cross First Aid portion and is talking about Check, Call, Care. A few weeks ago, guest speaker Evan Badgley, from Clinton County Central Dispatch, volunteered to talk about the proper way to share information with 911 and what to expect. This week, students practiced CPR.

Good morning OEHS parents - tomorrow our HS students will have the opportunity to complete the RCAD mental health screener for the final time this school year. This is optional and that is clearly communicated to our students, however does allow them access to amazing counseling services with CCRESA for those that need support. See below the email that students will be getting tomorrow morning:
"Today we will be doing our final round of the RCAD mental health screener for this school year. As this is our third go at this, I am guessing you are basically pros at getting to it and filling it out - however I have attached the instructions to this email so you have the link and the passcode.
I want to reiterate this is a way for us to find out how you are each doing in a way that eliminates you having to come and report to us face-to-face. I know that it may be hard to ask for help or to even put into words what is going on, but with summer approaching, that is typically a time for big changes and can be difficult if you are someone that thrives in the structure and predictability of the school setting. Please just answer honestly so we can get you the help and resources you need throughout the summer so you are supported regardless of the things you may be facing.
With that being said, this is optional, no one will pressure you to take it and teachers have been provided a list of students whose parents have opted them out. Even if your parents did not reach out to put you on the opt out list, if you do not feel comfortable filling out the screener, you are not required to participate.
Thank you all for being open and honest this year and as always, if you have something you need help with regardless of this screener, you are welcome to pop down or shoot one of us an email and we can help or figure out support for you.
