We would like to congratulate the following students on their work and ask that they please come down to the lobby for a photo: KyLynn S., Sophia C., Brooklyn H., Leighton L., & Roger R.. We also want to thank Mr K for his work in the mural design process. Some of your design was used as inspiration for our final pieces. Our mural project is scheduled for next Thursday, March 27th. All students will have an opportunity to paint in small groups throughout the school day and help bring your designs to life!
And now it’s time for Manic Mystery Monday so pop your thinking caps on and teachers dial 1420 when you have heard the entire question and your class has an answer:
Question: Who is the Greek goddess of Spring and nature?
Answer: Persephone
Class: Wertz
Note: Persephone is the daughter of Zeus and Demeter, the goddess of agriculture and the harvest. The god of the underworld, Hades, stole her to be his wife, leaving the earth barren in winter but in the Spring she returns to her mother above ground and the earth blooms and flourishes.
Have a marvelous Monday everybody!
