The pinching needs to stop.  If you are seen pinching it will be regarded as horseplay and not keeping your hands to yourself.

Office Pass

No tardy passes are available from the office unless you have just entered school.   If you have a locker problem go to your next class and let your teacher know BEFORE passing time is over, in order to not be classed as tardy.   You must have an office pass to enter the office.

Please check lost and found for your personal items.  They will be donated at Spring Break.

In Science Olympiad News:

This past Saturday, our middle school Science Olympiad team competed in our regional competition at East Lansing HS.  The team did a great job and learned a lot along the way!  Thanks to our team members for their hard work and commitment while preparing for their events.  This year’s team members include:

  • Finn P. and Bentley N. - 2nd Place - Write It, Do It

  • Dylan M. and Marcus P. - 5th Place - Air Trajectory

  • Luella D. and Isabella R. - 5th Place - Potions and Poisons

  • Brady L. and Thomas W. - 5th Place - Scrambler

  • Jack S. and Brent S. - 6th Place - Helicopters

 Although the team did not qualify for the state tournament, they did an awesome job competing against the 18 other local teams.  Great Job Team!

In Sports News:

MS Softball Club - Tryouts are this afternoon.

MS Track and Field - Practice starts next Monday and to get the excitement going Coach Snyder has something planned every day for you.   Today is Track & Field Trivia.  There are 10 questions posted on green paper in the lobby.  Grab an answer sheet in the office and see if you can get all the answers for a chance to win. 

Student Leadership Team News:

APPLICATION DEADLINE for this year’s 6th and 7th students who are interested in the Student Leadership Team is next Monday: MARCH 24, 2025.  Applications are available in the office.

In March is Reading Month news:

After the second week of our reading competition, Mrs. Duckert's 4th hour class leads the 6th grade with 30 tickets turned in, Mrs. Willbanks' 5th hour class leads the 7th grade with 35 tickets turned in, and Mrs. Collins' 2nd hour class leads the 8th grade with 108 tickets turned in! Way to get those pages in! 

Our prize winners for this week are as follows: 6th grade: Danielle R., Kayleigh P., Naomi T. , 7th grade: Zoey C., Adam J., Paige B., and 8th grade: Neil C., Allie V., and Rebecca L.! You can all come on down to the office to pick out a prize. Remember, we are only halfway through the competition so it is still anyone's game. Our top readers for each grade will win a gift card to Blue Moon! Happy Reading!

 We have a Spirit Week next week.  Posters are up around the school.

Attention Science Olympiad Team:  Please meet in Mr. Wertz's room tomorrow (Wed.) morning at 7:45 am for a team photo.

We have the PBIS mid-month raffle at lunchtime today.  The prize for the draw is a hat or lunch pass.

In Sports News:

HS Boys Basketball - 8th grade boys interested in playing basketball in high school next year that there will be a meeting on Thursday at noon in Mr. Brown's room.  Bring your lunch.

MS Track and Field - Practice starts next Monday and to get the excitement going Coach Snyder has something planned every day for you.   This morning students had a chance to test their long jumping skills in the lobby.

MS Track and Field - Practice starts Monday in the gym.  Practice is 3:15-5pm, Mon - Thurs.  Make sure that you are signed up and have your physical on file to practice.

Battle of the Bookmarks:

Results are in for the Battle of the Bookmarks! We had 70 entries this year and all of them were great. Our third place bookmark was number 14 created by Shae K., our second place bookmark was number 2 created by Blake H., and our 1st place bookmark was number 12 created by Ravin P.. Congratulations to everyone! Bookmarks will be printed for all students and distributed before we leave for Spring Break!
