Happy Birthday today to Sofia C. Have a wonderful birthday Sofia!  We also have a special staff birthday.  Happy Birthday to our gentle giant, our very own Bill Nye, our master of all things Science and one of the nicest people that you’ll ever meet: Mr Wertz.  Have a great day Mr Wertz!

Next week is the end of the marking period.  Now is the time to make that big push to get any missing assignments done and handed in. 

A reminder that a pass is required to go to the IC, unless you are going with your class.  A pass is also required to enter the office.

Finally, if you are late to class and get a pass from the office, you may still be unexcused and marked tardy.  You will only be excused if the reason that you are late is considered unavoidable and not due to poor planning on your part

COIN WARS has started.  There will be bottles outside the office for you to put your coins and $$ notes into.  Put your money into the bottle of the team which you WANT to win, either MI or MSU.

LUNCH:

Cheeseburger, sweet potato fries, mixed fruit and milk.

In X-Country News:

Good morning, Marauders! Our cross country team shone at yesterday's Jr. Greater Lansing Invite. Will B took 6th overall for the boys, while Bella S, Macy J, and Isabelle I now hold 2nd, 3rd, and 9th fastest times ever for 7th grade girls at OE. Multiple runners set new personal records. Great job, team! Cross country athletes, remember to meet in Coach Snyder's room after school today.

Get a pass:

A reminder that a pass is required to go to the IC, to enter the office and don’t forget that if you are late to class and get a pass from the office, you may still be unexcused and marked tardy, so make sure that you are not late to class.

Halloween is on a Thursday, 31st.  We will be wearing school appropriate costumes during the school day; which, of course means, no gore, no weapons, no masks and limited face paint applied before you get to school, not at school.

The Halloween party will be on Thursday after school.  Tickets will be available the same day.

Quesadilla, black beans, mandarin oranges and milk.

In Sports News:

We have fliers with wrestling sign ups available in the office.  Practice begins on Monday October 21st.  Contact Coach Potter with any questions.

Tomorrow is the last day for 6th grade to turn in Red Cedar basketball forms.

🎃 Attention Students! Join our Pumpkin Painting & Carving Contest next Wednesday! Bring your pumpkins for judging before 9 AM and compete for prizes! Participants will be able to enjoy free cider and donuts that morning. Remember to carve your pumpkins at home, and please avoid any blood or weapons. All pumpkins must go home by Friday, October 25. Let’s see your spooky creations! 👻✨  

7th grade students.  The 7th grade field trip is happening next Friday, October 25th!   Students will experience a tour of our State Capitol and a career exploration fair focused on the Energy Industry, and more.  Complete the Google form sent to your school email to choose to pack their lunch or pick up a sack lunch in the cafeteria Please complete The form is due today.  

Finally, pick up a permission slip from your 1st hour teacher.  Questions can be directed to Mr Stedman
