The 8th grade student/parent informational meeting for the 2026 HS Washington DC trip is tomorrow evening, at 7pm in the IC. There will be a sign up sheet and informational packets, as well as a Q&A session.

Picture retakes are next Monday. Picture packets must be returned in order for new photographs to be taken. Orders can be placed online at ospgo.com/2AGP
OEMS Families, Middle School Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Tuesday, October 8th from 5:00-8:00 pm. Parents can sign up online for a 10-minute conference with teachers if they have any concerns at the following link: https://ptcfast.com/schools/Ovid_Elsie_MS_Conferences.

Tomorrow our announcements will be read by Grant R. Grant was selected by our OE Band Director, Jeanine Ignash, because of his sweet nature, his enthusiasm for music and his excitement at sharing his thoughts and daily goings on.

In Sports News:
Red Cedar girls and boys basketball registration forms have been handed out to our 7th and 8th graders who are interested. If you did not receive a form, there are copies in the office. Money and forms are due next week on Thursday, October 10th. We will not be taking late registrations. If you have any questions please see Mrs Tuma.
The 7th and 8th grade girls’ basketball went to Birch Run yesterday and both walked out with victories. The 7th grade girls pulled away in the fourth quarter to get a win by the score of 20-12. The 8th grade girls won by the score of 26-16.
The girls next game is home next Monday against Byron.

We will have concessions tomorrow at the end of the day so bring your monies for the sugar sling!

Our Marauder Cross Country team competed in a large invitational yesterday in Birch Run. Neil Criner was the first finisher for the OE boys this race earning his first PR. On the girls side 3 Lady Marauders medaled including Isabelle Ignash running her all time personal best. The Marauders are running at Uncle John’s Cider Mill next Wednesday. Come out and support our team and grab some cider and donuts afterwards!
Photo retake day is Monday. You must return your original photo packet in order to have another photo taken.
Next Wednesday is $1 pickle day.
