Announcements Monday 09/23/2024:

Good morning staff and students!  Welcome to Ovid-Elsie Middle School where we are inspiring life-long learners to achieve their full potential and excel in a changing world.  Today is Monday September 23rd, 2024.  Please stand for the pledge…..

Please make sure that you are in your seats, ready to work before 7:55am.  This means that if you are still walking at 7:53, you are probably going to be late!

No running in the hallways, accidents happen.

In Sports News:

Last week our OE Cross Country runners blazed a trail to Webberville for an invitational meet, and their performances were truly impressive. On the boys' side, Will B and Logan S both earned medals for their outstanding runs. Logan, in particular, had an exceptional day, cutting nearly 2 minutes off his season best and tying his personal record from last year with a remarkable time of 13:09. The girls' team also showed their strength, with six OE girls medaling in yesterday's race. But there was only one new PR on the ladies’ team.  Special congratulations to Haley S, who set a new Personal Record for herself on a very hot afternoon. Let's all take a moment to recognize the hard work and dedication of our cross country runners. Their achievements make us proud to be Marauders. Keep up the great work, team!

LUNCH:

Chicken tenders, sweet potato fries, mixed fruit and milk.

And now it’s time for Name That Tune so listen closely and teachers dial 1420 when you have the name of the band and the song:

Question: 'I want it that way' by The Backstreet Boys.

Class: Belill

Have a marvelous Monday everybody!

Announcements Wednesday 09/25/2024:

We’re doing something a little differently today - every Wednesday a staff member will elect a student to recognize and that student will read our announcements.  Our first nomination is Gabe L.  I am electing Gabe because it was his enthusiasm which led to this idea, because he is a bright light whose big personality adds character and fun to the school and because I have seen him make a real effort in the last couple of years to recognize weaknesses and strive to improve.  A worthy goal for all of us.

And now….here’s Gabe:

Taking the pull tags off other people’s Chromebooks is stealing their property, actually the property of the school, and will be dealt with as stealing.
