Attention Boys Basketball Players: 7th Graders-After school bus number 200 will be the bus to take you to Leonard for basketball practice. 8th Graders-Get on bus number 113 to take you over for practice.
Tomorrow is Picture Retake Day. If you wish to have your photograph taken again please bring your photograph packet to give to the photographer. This will not do a retake without it. If you didn’t get your photo taken the first time please get it done for your picture id card and the yearbook, even if you don’t want to purchase pictures.
In Student Council News:
We have a popcorn day coming up on Wednesday. Bring $1 to buy popcorn at lunchtime.
Sign up in the office for the pumpkin carving/painting contest. Pumpkins must be completed AT HOME and brought in for judging Monday 23rd to the MS lobby. There will be cider and doughnuts for the participants and a prize for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.

X-Country news: The OEMS XC team competed yesterday in the Greater Lansing Championship. Competition was strong and OE rose to meet the challenge. Will B finished his season with a top 20 finish and a new PR. For the girls the Belle sisters have been running really well and also set new PRs. With just one meet to go this Sat the team hopes to capture the elusive Pineapple (pause) Chicken. Team members meet in Coach Snyder’s room after school today.
Currently, MSU is winning the coin war contest with $81.52 and Michigan is down -$31.28. Student Council has decided to make a twist. This week, any dollars counted will subtract double the amount from the other team. So Michigan fans start putting $$$ in MSU’s bottle, this is your chance to come back.
The winning team of the Coin War will earn extra pts towards the pep assembly games. And for those of you who haven't heard, some of our staff members will be getting pied in the face if their team loses. Our Staff participants supporting Michigan are Mrs. Ehle, Mr. Belill, Mr. Wertz & Ms. Holley. And our Michigan State fans are Mr. Longstreth, Mr. Brown, and Mr. Snyder.

Our Halloween party will be next week on Friday. You can wear school appropriate costumes all day with no masks, no gore and no weapons. The party will be after school and tickets are $3 per person. We’ll be selling tickets on the day of the dance before school and at lunchtime.
Costumes are NOT permitted on the following Tuesday which is Halloween proper.
