Happy Birthday today to our very own Captain America. He’s never cranky or in a red faced rager. He’s sweetness and light and dedicated to bringing multiplication to the masses and he’s Mr Belill!! Have a wonderful birthday Mr B! Try to smile today!
A shout out to the Chess Team for their awesome job at the MI Junior High School State Championship this Saturday. Competing against teams from across the state they finished with a 3-2 record. Great job Levi W, Kohl B, Caleb W and Belle C! Big thanks to Mr Elliott for providing the students with this opportunity and coaching the team to a win at their first ever event!
And now it’s time for Manic Mystery Monday so pop your thinking caps on and teachers dial 1420 when you have heard the entire question and your class has an answer:
Question: How many bones do sharks have in their bodies?
Answer: Zero! They have powerful, flexible cartilage.
Class: Grandstaff
Note: Cartilage is much lighter than bone which is important because sharks don’t have a swim bladder. Instead, they have to rely on their large oil-filled liver to provide them with buoyancy. A really heavy skeleton would be a major disadvantage to them. Also, as cartilage is much more flexible than bone it also allows sharks to swim fast and make quick turns when they’re chasing prey.
Have a marvelous Monday everybody!

Happy Birthday today to Sarah C. Have a wonderful birthday Sarah!
A reminder that students do not have school on Friday.
Just so that you are aware if you are failing 3 or more subjects you will be serving a Saturday detention on March 11th. Use the time in class to complete your work, or prepare to lose your free time on a Saturday.
Also a reminder that students must be in their seats, with all of their materials, ready to learn when the bell rings for each new period. If you are still in the hall, you are tardy. Tardies are being documented by teachers.
Don’t forget folks that:
Have a terrific Tuesday everybody and remember it may not be easy but it will definitely be worth it!
